    The Department of Pharmaceutics is organizing “Symposium on Drug Delivery Systems" on 3rd & 4th October, 2024 in Kolkata.

    The symposium aims to provide a platform for sharing cutting-edge research, discussing emerging trends, and networking with peers by bringing together leading experts and researchers from academia and industry around the globe in the field of drug delivery systems. This opportunity will have fruitful discussion in this field and enhance the objective of the symposium and benefit the participants.

    NIPER Kolkata

    NIPER Kolkata is an autonomous institute established in the year 2007 under the aegis of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India as an Institute of National Importance for Higher Education, Research and Development in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The institute continuously strives to encourage the pharmaceutical industry in India, promote scholars and innovations, and foster collaboration between academia and industry.

    We are delighted to share that NIPER Kolkata has been ranked 24th in the Pharmacy Category of the NIRF Ranking 2024. Currently, the Institute is offering Post Graduate and PhD programs in eight disciplines

    The Institute features a youthful and experienced faculty, as well as well-equipped infrastructure and equipment to carry out research in a various area of pharmaceutical sciences The Institute has established "Center for Marine Therapeutics" to address the major challenges in the treatment of drug-resistant cancer, bacteria, and viruses and have received funding support of the Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi and Department of Pharmaceuticals, New Delhi. The research at the institute is supported by various funding agencies viz., DBT, ICMR, DST, AYUSH, DST-SERB, WB-DBT etc.

    The Institute is in the process of establishing a 'Center of Excellence on Flow Technology and Continuous Manufacturing" with a budget of Rs. 100 Cr.

    Department of Phamaceutics

    The department was established in the year 2020 and offers MS (Pharm) and PhD programs in Pharmaceutics. The department is equipped with advanced instrumentation facilities to undertake research in drug delivery systems. The department is currently focused on the below-mentioned areas of research.
